I'm back!!!!!!

Sadly, my local Scrapbook store, Memory Mania in Prarieville, LA is closing its doors after 13 years of business. For many years, I shopped, cropped, and taught there, and after moving out of state, I was given the honor of serving on the Master's team for Memory Mania Master's Kit Club. So while many of you won't be able to see the layouts in person, if you have any questions about what I did, feel free to ask right here! I am looking forward to continuing on the team via the online store and just like you, I am so thankful that Tammy is going to continue the clubs!
This month's kit contains products from Bazzill, My Mind's Eye, and We R Memory Keepers. I was able to complete two double page spreads and three single pages without using any additional paper or product and I still have more product left over to use in other projects. Check back in a couple days and I'll share the other 3 layouts I completed along with tips on how to "get the look." using the kit. I am so glad you stopped in to visit!

Pardue Farms

This was the third year that we made a trip to the mountains to cut our Christmas tree, and this year had to be the best yet. Because we hosted a party on Saturday evening, I needed the trees as early as possible and that meant going the day before Thanksgiving to get it. We didn't have many options available since most farms open after Thanksgiving, but one farm looked promising.  Pardue Farms in Sparta, NC.
Driving down the gravel road, we see several chickens darting amongst the Frasier Firs and hear the barking of dogs. When we pulled up to the house, Mark and Harold came out to greet us.  Three hours later we had two trees, a wreath, and a wealth of information about farming. Most importantly wonderful memories of a day spent with family and our new friends.
Not one, but two trees on this trip!

Warm hospitality, wonderful family- we will be back.

Of course she rode Charlie!

Goats, dogs, cattle and chickens too.

So thankful that the grandparents were able to come with us.

I got my very own lesson on how to make a boxwood wreath.

Where else can you swing from a tree limb while you wait for your tree to be bound?

And directions on how to get out of the mountains.

Thank you so much Pardue Farms. We made memories to last a lifetime!

Dear Blog, It is now Autumn

I'm sorry I have neglected you. I just needed a break. House guests, home improvement, life- it has been extremely busy. However, I miss writing and adding photos. I miss the urgent emails reminding me to update the blog, and who knows, maybe posting on a regular basis will help bring a little order to the chaos. You never know :)
